Beetlejuice

This weekend I watched Beetlejuice, directed by Tim Burton. The film was made in 1988, and stars Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, and Michael Keaton. I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a good chuckle now and again.

The film is about a couple of recently deceased ghosts contracting the services of a "bio-exorsist" in order to scare out the new owners of their house. Adam Maitland (Baldwin) and Barbra Maitland (Davis) are the recemtly deceased ghosts. Even though they are dead, they taken their time to decorate their precious home. Unfortunately they come to realize that new people are moving in. Adam and Barbra try scaring the new family, the Deetz's, away, but soon they become the main focus of the daughter, Lydia. The Maitlands call upon Beetlejuice (Keaton) to help them. Little did they know that Beetlejuice had more in mind than just helping them.

My favorite part of this movie is the dinner scene. The Deetz's have guests over and are planning on a big fancy meal. Beetlejuice comes into the scene and starts making all the guests dance and do the most absurd things. This secne always brings me a great laugh.

Beetlejuice is a horrible movie lol. It seriously grosses me out, and that sounds like I'm a giant pansy, but i have a really weak stomach... so that's probably why.

I think this would be scary to little kids - I always thought Keaton's makeup was scary, so I didn't watch this movie for years.
