This week I watched The Breakfast Club. The film was made in 1985 and directed by John Hughes. It stars Judd Nelson, Emilio Estevez, and Molly Ringwald. The movie was fantastic and I really enjoyed watching this film. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys an old movie at times.
The Breakfast Club is about five high school students meeting in detention on a Saturday. All five of the students have different stereotypes. The jock, the princess, the criminal, the nerd, and the basket case. These five students poured their hearts out to one another and discovered that they have a lot more in common than they thought. They find out that everyone, no matter who you hang out with, has problems that they keep bottled up inside because they mask their true identity. Judd Nelson plays the criminal and you learn that his life at home isn't what you would think it would be like. He asks the jock, who is played by Emilio Estevez, if the burn from a cigar is the same punishment that he gets at home. Everyone has struggles and maybe some aren't as bad as another but everyone is hurting and needs to be heard.
My favorite part of this movie is at the end where they are all going home and Judd Nelson is walking across the football field and pumps his fist. It gives me a feeling of happiness I suppose. It shows me that five strangers can be stuck in a room for a day and it could change their life forever.

I LOVE this movie!!! It makes me laugh every time I watch it. I like how at the beginning neither of them like each other and then during the middle they start telling each other their secrets and become friends.
This is definitely one of my favorite movies! :)
I can't believe I've never seen this, although all the reviews I've heard have been good.
